Indian Navy Recruitment Eligibility Criteria

Indian Navy Recruitment Education Qualification

Sailors (AA)

1. Candidates Must have 12th passed with 60% or more marks in aggregate with Maths & Physics and at least one of these subjects Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science from the Boards of School Education recognized by MHRD, Govt. of India.

Sailors (SSR)

1. Candidates Must have 12th passed with Maths & Physics and at least one of these subjects Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science from the Boards of School Education recognized by MHRD, Govt. 

Indian Navy Recruitment Physical Eligibility

1. Qualifying in Physical Fitness Test (PFT) is mandatory for selection. 
2. PFT will consist of 1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes, 20 squats
3. Uthak Baithak and 10 Push-ups.
4. Minimum height 157 cms.
5. Minimum chest expansion of 5 cms.

1. Candidates should be born between 01 August 2000 to 31 July 2003 (Both dates inclusive).

Indian Navy Sailor Recruitment 2019 Application Fee

1. The Application Fee can be paid online using Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking/E-Challan.
2. For General/OBC Candidates – Rs. 205/- only.
3. For SC/ST Candidates no need to pay any application fee.

Indian Navy Sailor Recruitment 2019 Pay Scale

1. During the initial training period, a stipend of Rs. 14,600/- per month will be admissible. On successful completion of initial training, they will be placed in Level 3 of the Defence Pay Matrix Rs. 21,700/- to Rs. 69,100/-. In addition, they will be paid MSP Rs. 5,200/- per month plus DA (as applicable) plus „X‟ Group pay {only for Artificer Apprentice (AA)} Rs. 6,200/- per month plus DA (as applicable).
2. Promotion prospects exist up to the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer-I, i.e. Level 8 of the Defence Pay Matrix Rs. 47,600/- to Rs. 1,51,100/- plus MSP  Rs. 5,200/- per month plus DA (as applicable). Opportunities for promotion to commissioned officer also exist for those who perform well and qualify the prescribed examinations.
